NBA (ATS & O/U Only): 100-68 (59.5%)
NBA Player Prop Totals: 50-29 (63.3%)
Trae Young Over 35.5 Points + Assists vs. Knicks
The Knicks have allowed 26.32 points (5th most in NBA) and 9.39 assists (3rd most in NBA) to opposing point guards this season and Young should be in a prime position to produce in both columns of the box score tonight. Averaging 27.6 points (11th in NBA) and 9.6 assists (2nd in NBA), the Hawks PG is having another stellar campaign and should be eager to improve upon his personal stat line the first time these two teams squared off this year (17 points on 7-of-22 shooting with seven assists in a 112-99 win). While he’s currently in a bit of a shooting slump, he’s racked up double-digit assists in four consecutive games and has averaged an NBA-best 20.8 potential assists per contest in that span. Expect a big game from him in this matchup.
Giannis Antetokounmpo Over 0.5 Made Threes vs. Kings
It’s clear that oddsmakers don’t respect Giannis’ ability to make perimeter shots. I initially saw this at plus-money at various books and even though Antetokounmpo is shooting just 23.8% from deep this season, he’s jacked up multiple three-point shots in 16 of 19 starts this year and hit two in the first quarter last time out against the Magic. All he needs to do is make one to win this bet, so I’m going to be in on it again tonight, especially since the Kings rank 25th in the NBA in three-point percentage defense (37.3%).
Terry Rozier Over 5.5 Assists vs. Nets
With LaMelo Ball, Dennis Smith Jr. and Gordon Hayward all out once again, Rozier should eat up a ton of usage for the Hornets. Scary Terry has gotten over this 5.5-assist mark in four of his last five starts and has averaged 13.0 potential assists per contest in that handful of contests as well. If the Hornets keep this game relatively close (which I think they will), it will likely be due to Rozier’s production not only as a scorer, but as a facilitator for the injury-riddled club.
