Rather than risk the late backdoor cover at -9, I’m going to target the first-half line in favor of the Celtics, who are coming off a 93-80 Game 5 win in Miami. Now up 3-2, the Celtics are simply the better overall team while the Heat are playing like the injured group that they are. While it’s admirable that Jimmy Butler, Kyle Lowry, Max Strus and Co. are suiting up at less than 100%, the wear and tear that this team is fighting through has finally gotten to them, as they’ve scored just 80 and 82 points in their last two games. I expect Boston’s elite defense to clamp down on the Heat early and dominate throughout this game as they punch their ticket to the NBA Finals.

The Celtics are back at home for this Game 6 and I have so much confidence in them to pull off a huge win here and cover this spread. They’ve covered the spread in three of the five games in this series against Miami, including each of the last two, which were both as the favorite. There’s no stopping this team now after they broke the back-and-forth pattern of this series with their huge 93-80 win over the Heat in Game 5 on Wednesday. So I see them moving on to the Finals with another huge win and covered spread in Game 6.

Nick Ashooh: Celtics -8.5

Boston has now covered in five of their last seven playoff games but hasn't won three straight since their opening-round sweep of the Nets. Jimmy Butler's health will be one of the biggest factors in this, as he looks completely worn out with his knee issue. The Heat can't win without a big game from Butler, and nothing has shown us over the last couple of games that he's gotten any healthier. I like the Celtics to close this thing out with a cover given the fall off from Miami.
