Betting Lines, Odds & Picks for Celtics-Heat Game 5

Let's take a look at the game lines and key betting trends you should know before betting on Game 5 of the Eastern Conference Finals between the Celtics and Heat.

The Eastern Conference Finals head back to Miami with the series tied at two games apiece after the Celtics blew out the Heat in Game 4, 102-82. This Boston team showed it is not done yet, as the Celtics roared back from their own bad loss Saturday to even this unpredictable, roller-coaster of a series.

Jayson Tatum outscored the entire Heat starting lineup with 31 points, plus eight rebounds and five assists. Payton Pritchard was the next highest scorer for Boston with 14 points, while Derrick White put up 13 of his own.

The Heat had trouble scoring, especially at first, trailing 18-1 at one point. Victor Oladipo led the team in scoring by a huge margin with 23 points, while Duncan Robinson came in next with 14 points. So the Heat will certainly be looking to have a bounce-back game here in Game 5.

The pattern throughout this series has been each team pulling off a huge win every other game. But after the Celtics absolutely blew out the Heat in Game 5, I think there could be a momentum shift here for the Celtics. A trend favoring them on the moneyline is that, in the second half of the season, the team is 13-4 versus teams making at least 46 percent of their shots on the road.

As for the spread, I feel like the Celtics can cover that as well. There's another huge trend in their favor in that regard, as they are 14-1 when playing against a team with a winning record in the second half of the season on the road. They've also covered the spread in 14 of their last 19 games, including a 10-5 mark in the playoffs, and are 16-7 ATS when favored on the road this season.

As for the total, the over on this low number is looking very promising. The over has hit in three of the four games already in this series and I would look closely at the over to hit again here.
