Cade Cunningham 25+ Points (+310, DraftKings)

Because I’m on the Pistons +3.5 against the Magic as my NBA bet of the day, I’m holding rookie Cade Cunningham in high regard on today’s slate. He had the best performance of his young career last game when he dropped 34 points, eight rebounds, eight assists, four blocks and two steals in a five-point loss to the Nuggets. His confidence should be at an all-time high in this matchup, especially since he became the first rookie since Michael Jordan to put up that stat line. Not only that, but Cunningham is playing monster minutes and his shooting volume has shot up as a result. Over his last three games, he has played 41, 36 and 40 minutes and has taken 23, 15 and 26 shots in those games, respectively, for 25, 18 and 34 points. It appears as though Detroit is going to start playing their prized rookie some major minutes heading into the All-Star break, so let’s take advantage of the situation.

LaMelo Ball Triple-Double (+700, DraftKings)

Since Russell Westbrook doesn’t play much defense (or do much of anything right these days), I love LaMelo Ball’s outlook tonight. He has two triple-doubles in his last five games and is coming off an efficient 29-point, 10-rebound, 13-assist showing against the Pistons in a 158-126 blowout win. With Gordon Hayward (COVID-19 protocols) out, Jalen McDaniels (ankle) out and Kelly Oubre (ankle) questionable, Ball should eat up a ton of offensive usage in this matchup and has much more upside than the 12.5% implied probability associated with the +700 odds. BetQL is projecting him to post 21 points, eight rebounds and eight assists, but there’s a lot of value in placing this bet due to Ball’s ability to produce across the points, rebounds and assists columns. Plus, based on how Westbrook has been shooting this season, Ball might luck into rebounding a couple of his bricks tonight, right?

Giannis Antetokounmpo 30+ Points, 12+ Rebounds & 8+ Assists (+2000, DraftKings)

The Greek Freak averages 28.6 points, 11.2 rebounds and 6.0 assists per game this season and is one of the few NBA players even capable of producing a stat line like this. In January, he’s averaged 31.1 points on 52.6% shooting to go along with 10.7 rebounds and 6.5 assists per contest. In that span, he’s posted 30+ points in eight of 11 games, 12+ rebounds six times and 8+ assists three times. Don’t place a pricey unit on this outcome, but at +2000, his odds of accomplishing this stat line are certainly better than the 4.8% implied probability. This could be an opportunity to turn $10 into a $210 payout, for example.
