NBA Player Props: 3 Best Bets for Wednesday, April 7

3 player prop bets to make for today's 9-game slate

Today's 9-game NBA slate features a couple of fun showdowns on ESPN. All those games gives us plenty of options to choose from for our player prop bets. We get a ton of great matchups, but I'll go with Jazz-Suns as tonight's marquee game. Utah is a 1.5-point favorite and the total is set to 227.

As for today’s best NBA bets, player props are a fun way to wager on NBA games even if you don't like a side or total. I like to find matchups that I can exploit or good situations due to injuries.

Let’s dive into a couple of these scenarios now.

Kyrie Irving OVER 40.5 points, rebounds, and assists

Irving comes into this matchup averaging 28 points, 4.9 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. I love this spot here for him to go off.

Matchup wise, the Pelicans are the perfect opponent. New Orleans is one of the worst defensive teams in the league in several key metrics, including being ranked 26th in points allowed and 28th in defensive rating.

Kevin Durant is expected to return, but James Harden is going to be out, so look for Irving to run the show. Durant should also open up the floor more for Kyrie to score offensively and help him on the assist side.

The script is favorable, as this game has the highest total on the board at 233, so we will see plenty of buckets from Irving and company.

Robert Williams UNDER 9.5 rebounds

Williams is averaging 8.6 rebounds a game over his last nine games played. He is also grabbing 7.6 boards a game at home.

While I love Williams and am glad he is getting more playing time, this is a tough spot for him. New York is one of the best defensive teams in the league. They are solid at rebounding the ball, as they rank 13th overall in rebounds allowed. They also rank 7th in offensive rebounds allowed.

This game has the lowest total on the board, so it has all the makings of a grinder type of game. He has not gone over this mark in three games and I have him finishing with around 7 boards tonight, so I'll grab the under.

Devin Booker OVER 27.5 points

This number is a little high, but I see Booker going off against Utah. He's in a groove right now offensively and has gone over this mark in three straight games.

The Jazz are solid defensively, but they don't force a lot of turnovers. He is good enough to create his own good looks. It's also a primetime game, so look for him to try to put on a show.

The game script also looks favorable since this total is the third highest on the board. That means we will see plenty of points, especially from Booker.

BetQL Model Play of the Day

BetQL has a 5-star play tonight on the Timberwolves-Pacers game. The model is liking the Pacers -2 at this number. Indiana should be a 6.5-point favorite via the model's projections, which is a 4.5-point difference from the current line. So, there is some value on Indiana tonight.
