Pelicans at Spurs Preview

The New Orleans Pelicans (10-7 SU, 9-8 ATS, 9-8 O/U) hit the road to take on one of the league’s bottom feeders in the San Antonio Spurs (6-12 SU, 9-9 ATS, 8-10 O/U) for a Western Conference matchup on Wednesday night.

The only advantage that the Spurs have in this game is their schedule spot. They’ve had two nights off since losing to the Lakers on Sunday while the Pelicans played the Warriors on Monday night. Other than that, there isn’t much for the Spurs to hang their hat on. They’re 1-10 SU in their last 11 games and have failed to top 100 points in their last two outings.

New Orleans just finished off their six game home stand with a massive win over a depleted Warriors team. The Pelicans own the fourth-best offense this season, averaging 116.9 points per game, which should lead to success for San Antonio. Between Brandon Ingram, CJ McCollum and Zion Williamson, the Spurs don’t have the personnel to slow them down, especially if Jokob Poeltl, who is currently questionable, sits this game. While New Orleans’ defense hasn’t been anything to write home about over the entirety of the season, it’s improved drastically as of late, ranking first in the league over their last five games.

My Lean: Pelicans ATS. I expect New Orleans to dominate.

Sixers at Hornets Preview

The Charlotte Hornets (4-14 SU, 7-10-1 ATS, 9-9 O/U) host the Philadelphia 76ers (9-8 SU, 10-7 ATS, 8-9 O/U) in what will be a road back-to-back for Philly. The Sixers are coming off an emotional win as 7 point underdogs over the Nets last night in Ben Simmons’ return to Philly. The win was extra impressive being Joel Embiid, James Harden and Tyrese Maxey were all sidelined with injury. With their Big 3 all out again tonight, and with this being their fourth game in six nights, I could see this being a throw away game from the Sixers as they’re eager to get home for Thanksgiving tomorrow.

This might be one of the only situations all year where I look to play on the Charlotte Hornets as a favorite against a top Eastern Conference team. Charlotte has been underwhelming this season due to a plethora of injuries, but the spot is just too good to pass up.

My Lean: Hornets ATS. It’s gross, but I lean Charlotte.

Blazers at Cavaliers Preview

The Trail Blazers (10-7 SU, 12-5 ATS, 7-9-1 O/U) continue their road trip with a stop in Cleveland to take on the Cavaliers (10-6 SU, 9-6-1 ATS, 8-8 O/U). Portland is coming off a loss to the Bucks on Monday in which they struggled to defend in the paint. That’s going to be another tall task tonight against the Cavs’ twin towers of Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen. Offensively, the Blazers have been hot from deep, shooting 37.8% from three, which is good enough for seventh in the league. Anfernee Simons will need to continue to produce for Portland with Damian Lillard out until December.

Cleveland is coming off a game where Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland combined for 55 points and the Cavs beat the Hawks by 12 points. With the fifth-best Adjusted Offensive Rating per NBA.com, expect more of the same from the backcourt duo as well as Mobley and Allen to get whatever they want down low. We’re going to see this Cleveland team putting a lot of points on the board tonight.

My Lean: Over 213.5.
