The Eastern Conference got better this offseason, there's no denying that. The Chicago Bulls were one of those improved teams, bringing in big names that included Lonzo Ball and DeMar DeRozan. It wasn't enough to jump them past the Milwaukee Bucks in the Central Division, but it should be enough to get them back to the playoffs, according to Vegas.
Chicago's playoff odds went from +105 on FanDuel to -172 this week, but they're still nowhere near the Bucks -- nor is anyone else in the division, even after offseason additions.
Teams like the Wizards (+440 to make the postseason), Pacers (-150) and Hornets (+164), who all were part of the play-in tournament, could find themselves on the outside looking in with this improved Chicago team.
I've got the Wizards out, and the Bulls in when the playoffs start next spring.
Bulls guard Coby White is +6500 to win Most Improved Player. With the added talent in the starting lineup, this could mean his role becomes less of a feature at the guard spot, and more of a spark plug off the bench. White is +2300 to win Sixth Man of the Year on FanDuel.
There are also trade rumors surrounding White, so take what you will from that. White has talent, though, and him winning Sixth Man at +2300 is worth a flier if you want some value given this deeper Bulls roster.
BetQL is 31-20 ATS in Coby White's starts for a total return of $819 on $100 bets. Join BetQL to get the Model's best bets all season!
