Yesterday, Dennis Bernstein and Brian Scalabrine joined Nick Kostos and Ken Barkley on You Better You Bet to discuss the NHL Playoffs and upcoming NBA Playoffs.

Here are some of the most notable nuggets from the show:

Bernstein on how to bet Game 2 of Vegas-Minnesota

They're [Vegas] the better team on paper, but they need to prove to me that they can score in the postseason. The issue and the flaw is their center play. The 2nd line, that group has been together since Day 1, but they can't find their way again in the postseason.

I would play Vegas, they are the better team. I'd expect them to emerge. It's the one team they didn't want to play in Minnesota. But, you got to play the UNDER here. I don't think there's going to be a lot of scoring. You watch those two guys playing net, and I got to think it's another 1-0, 2-0 game.

Scalabrine likes the Celtics in the play-in

Everyone knows the Celtics are inconsistent ... Here's when they are pretty good. When Brad Stevens gets a chance to prepare, and he knows what he has and knows what he's going against.

I kind of feel like the Wizards coming off of that grueling game with the Hornets, one day rest, on the road, so I do like the Celtics. I do think the Celtics are going to cover this one. I don't think they are going to win by 10 or anything, and I think it's going to be a close game. But, I feel like they are going to figure it out defensively and slow these guys down, which is not easy ... I do have faith in coach Stevens and he can win when he has time to prepare. I think he will be pretty good in these types of scenarios.

Scalabrine on the Warriors-Lakers play-in game

I'd love for LeBron to be in a single-elimination game against Memphis. So playing two games then heading into a Round 1 against the Utah Jazz. I love to see LeBron go through the struggle.

What I don't like to see is LeBron just getting better and better and stronger and stronger as the season goes along because if he's healthy and rested and heading into the Western Conference Finals or Finals, he's going to win. The only way the NBA has a chance to beat him and Anthony Davis is for those guys to be sort of banged up or sort of slowed down or worn out.

He's so smart. People love LeBron or hate LeBron, but he's a brilliant player that can look at what another team is doing and exploit it over and over again. LeBron is going to figure out a way to put Steph Curry in action and try to go at him. I think LeBron in this situation is going to thrive.

Against the Suns, I think they are going to be favored. The only way to really beat LeBron is you got to have at least three and probably four bodies to rotate on him. Fresh bodies to wear him out so in the fourth quarter he doesn't have the legs to get over the hump.
