There's Already Big Movement For Next Year's NBA Title Odds

The NBA offseason was bound to have an effect on the NBA title odds, and we're already seeing that result.

After the Golden State Warriors took home the title, they were installed as the initial favorite across the board for books heading into the summer, but now change has already come with a whole new look at the odds, and this is before free agency even opened.

After reaching a buyout with the Rockets, John Wall reportedly chose to sign with the Clippers, which would fill their need for a playmaker and obviously giving them an infusion of talent that will include (hopefully) a healthy Kawhi Leonard and Paul George in 2022-23.

That for one has moved the Clippers just behind the Warriors at BetMGM to +600, with Golden State in at 5 to 1. Over at DraftKings it's now even closer, with both the Clippers and Warriors currently co-favorites at +550.

It gets even closer at FanDuel though, who not only have LA and Golden State at +600 but now the Bucks and Celtics come in to give us a four-way tie as well (it's about time the Bucks got some respect). Caesars hasn't moved nearly as much though, with the Warriors leading the way still (+550), followed by Boston (+600), and then the Clippers (+700).

We knew there'd be a lot of this, and it will without a doubt continue all offseason as more teams either get aggressive or sit in the shadows of the reality show that is the NBA offseason.

If the Clippers can stay healthy though, this team may actually have a shot at living up to the expectations set on them back when Steve Ballmer bought the team and helped make them a legit franchise.

The Warriors are still on top of the NBA, but it certainly won't be an easy road back in 2023.
