  • Horvat takes it a step further and sneaks in a hot take that the Spurs could have a shot to win it all.

The NBA season is almost here!

The San Antonio Spurs kick off their season in just under a month, so to prepare, Trysta Krick, Ryan Horvat and Quinton Mayo discussed the outlook for this team on BetMGM Tonight.

What Do Krick, Mayo And Horvat Think Of The Spurs' Win Total?

The Spurs' win total is set at 28.5 and Krick thinks it should be higher.

“This team is young and dangerous and they’re going to be well-coached,” Krick said. "… This is a team that’s going to shock people how often they win games outright as underdogs. They are pesky. They can score … 28.5 wins is so low. That’s absurd.”

But Mayo disagreed. “I don’t know if it’s too low because Dejounte (Murray) is always seemingly hurt,” Mayo said. “Lonnie Walker is actually almost seemingly hurt as well and can’t shoot the ball. … I don’t think I would play this at all.”

“I’m with you, (Quinton),” Horvat said. “I could see them winning 30 games, I could see them winning, like, 26.”

How Far Can The Spurs Go?

“I think they’ve got a shot to win it all,” Horvat said, a take that got buried by a discussion between Krick and Mayo.

Does Krick think the Spurs can win the Southwest division, Mayo asked?

“No, but I know they’re going to cover the spread a lot as 'dogs,” Krick said. “That’s all I’m saying.”

Hear what else these three think about the Spurs this season, why Mayo is “salty,” why Ben Simmons is "lazy," and more, in the audio above.
