Heat -185
The Heat are the clear favorite here and with Kyle Lowry's viral new physique, this team could be unstoppable. They're primed to go further in the playoffs after falling to the Celtics in the conference finals as the No. 1 seed last season. And there are also rumors that the Heat could trade for Kyrie Irving, so if that happens, definitely keep an eye on these odds.
Hawks +175
With Dejounte Murray now on the roster with Trae Young, the Hawks could really make some noise this season. They also just added Tyrese Martin from the Warriors, who tweeted that he is grateful and blessed about joining the team. After falling to the Heat in the playoffs this past season, Atlanta could be extra motivated to make a big push into the postseason now.
Hornets +700
The Hornets have a new (renewed?) head coach in Steve Clifford, who is returning to the franchise, and the team will be making a push for the playoffs. LaMelo Ball has potential to improve on his performance from last season, and he did just change his jersey number after all. So don't sleep on Charlotte's longer odds here to take the division.
Wizards +4000
The Wizards ended the Summer League with a bang and a win over the Warriors, so they'll be hoping to take that momentum into next season after missing the playoffs this past season. And Bradley Beal recently signed a big extension and said he thinks the team can win the title this season. If you think that confidence can lead them to a division win, take a close look at these odds.
Magic +25000
The Magic finished last in the Eastern Conference last season and they have extremely long odds to win this division. But rookie Paolo Banchero looked great in the Summer League, so the future of the team looks a little brighter. Especially if Markelle Fultz has a huge year, this team could defy expectations.
Atlanta has certainly upgraded with the addition of Murray, so I have a lot of hope for the Hawks this season. Murray and Young together could be a powerhouse this year. If you're not taking the Heat to win this division and are looking for more value, I would back the Hawks in this spot.
