Ryan BroekhoffPHI | SF
Timeline to join team uncertain
In his post, Broekhoff notes that his wife is considered high risk, so the 29-year-old is taking some time off to be with his spouse and young son. Broekhoff didn't specifically mention that he was opting out of the season restart, so he may still end up joining the 76ers at a later date if his wife's health situation takes a turn for the better. The swingman had signed with the 76ers in June and had been ticketed for a depth role on the wing.

Zhaire SmithPHI
Questionable for Tuesday
Smith saw his first NBA action of the season during Saturday's home win over the Lakers, but he suffered a sprained left ankle that limited him to only three minutes of action. The injury doesn't appear to be too serious, but Smith could end up being held out of Tuesday's contest.

Gary PaytonWAS | PG
Tests positive, not in Orlando
Payton appeared in 29 games with the Wizards before the suspension of the season, averaging 14.9 minutes, 3.9 points and 2.8 rebounds. He will now be required to self-quarantine for 14 days and produce two negative tests before entering the bubble.

Thomas BryantWAS | C
Tests positive for coronavirus
Bryant will now need to self-quarantine for at least 14 days and test negative twice before returning to participate in the resumed season. On the plus side, the center recently announced that he's fully recovered from the stress fracture in his foot that caused him to miss 20 games from Dec. 3 through Jan. 10 and limited his minutes afterward.

Garrison MathewsWAS
Not in Orlando
With both Bradley Beal (shoulder) and Davis Bertans (personal) not with the Wizards for the restart, Mathews was in line for a significant minutes increase. However, it's unclear if he'll end up playing.

Ish SmithWAS | PG
Out for fourth straight game
Smith's sore left hamstring will cost him a fourth consecutive game, meaning Shabazz Napier should hold a firm grasp of the lion's share of point guard minutes. If Jerome Robinson (Achilless) is cleared to play, he could also see a boost in playing time.

Isaac BongaWAS | SG
Unavailable Tuesday
Bonga started Sunday's loss to the Heat and presumably sustained the injury while putting up three points and one steal in 15 minutes. Garrison Matthews may see increased run in his absence Tuesday.

C.J. MilesWAS
Cut loose by Washington
Miles had already been ruled out for the season after undergoing left wrist surgery in early December, but the rebuilding Wizards had viewed the 32-year-old as a valuable veteran presence on a young roster. Even so, Washington couldn't afford to keep Miles on the roster due to the club's mounting health concerns, as six other players remain sidelined due to injuries. According to Bobby Marks of ESPN.com, Washington will still retain its $4.4 million Disabled Player Exception that had been awarded after Miles was ruled out for the season. The Wizards will convert Anzejs Pasecniks' two-way deal into a standard contract, allowing him to take Miles' spot on the 15-man roster.

Davis BertansWAS | PF
Sitting out season restart
While Bertans' rationale behind his decision to sit out the season restart isn't fully known, Wojnarowski speculates that the 27-year-old -- who previously tore the ACL in his right knee twice while playing in Europe earlier in his career -- may be looking to protect himself from an untimely injury as he heads into free agency this offseason. According to Wojnarowski, the Wizards are in full support of Bertans' decision, and the power forward is still expected to take part in pre-Orlando training with the team. Bertans should have an active market in free agency after firmly establishing himself as one of the NBA's most dangerous threats from downtown in 2019-20, knocking down 3.7 triples per game while converting them at a 42.4 percent clip.

John WallWAS
Won't join team in Orlando
By all accounts, Wall continues to progress well in his recovery from a torn Achilles, but he will not be with the team when the season resumes. Instead, Wall will work out in Washington, D.C. and Miami with coaches, per Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard. Sheppard noted that the extensive time off interrupted Wall's schedule, but all indications are that he'll be ready for the start of the 2020-21 season.

Opts to sit out Orlando restart
The Wizards' leading scorer had been on the fence about joining the team in Orlando, and he's now opted to sit out after consulting with team doctors. "Bradley did everything possible to be ready to play, but after closely monitoring his individual workouts we came to the conclusion that it was best for him to sit out the upcoming games in Orlando and avoid the risk of further injury," said Wizards GM Tommy Sheppard. "Although he was able to play through the majority of the season with the injury, the layoff from March until now did not leave any of us feeling comfortable that he would have enough time to be ready to perform at the extremely high level we are all accustomed to seeing and agreed that not participating in the games in Orlando was the right decision." Beal had been nursing the shoulder issue -- a right rotator cuff injury -- for much of the season, and it reportedly worsened during the league's shutdown. The guard, who averaged a career-best 30.5 points per game this season, will not travel with the team to Orlando.
