Dwight PowellDAL | PF
Progresses to jogging, shooting
Powell underwent surgery for a torn Achilles in late January, and he's starting to make some tangible basketball-related progress. Powell was having a strong season before the injury, averaging 9.4 points on 5.7 shots, 5.7 rebounds and 1.5 assists in 26.5 minutes per game. It's not immediately clear when the 2020-21 NBA season will begin, but it's possible Powell will be ready for the start of it.

Out for season
Townsend notes that Lee is walking with a pronounced limp and has a brace on his lower leg, and that he won't come back at any point this season. Lee's role fluctuated throughout the year, but most of his minutes should go to the likes of Seth Curry, Justin Jackson and J.J. Barea.

Kristaps PorzingisDAL | PF
Torn meniscus, out for series
Porzingis has been dealing with persistent right knee soreness, and after team doctors were able to get a better look, he's been diagnosed with a torn meniscus. He won't be returning to play against the Clippers, and, without him, the Mavericks' chances of advancing are slim. Even if Dallas pulls a miracle upset coming out of a 3-2 hole, it's not clear if Porzingis would be available for Round 2 or any future rounds. Surgery is a possibility for the big man, who missed all of last season due to a torn ACL suffered in 2017-18.

Leaves NBA bubble
Gordon's status for the Magic's upcoming game was in question, but he's ultimately decided to leave the bubble amidst the recent boycotts of Wednesday's and Thursday's contests. Many players have expressed feeling uncomfortable about being on the campus during this time, but a vote was made to continue the playoffs. It seems Gordon felt a similar way and decided to act on that feeling, effectively ending his season.

Al-Farouq AminuORL | PF
Unlikely to return to play
There was some optimism in March that Aminu could return if the season resumed. However, that appears not to be the case anymore. "There's a difference of being healthy and then being safely healthy," said Magic president of basketball operations Jeff Weltman.

Chuma OkekeORL | PF
Not expected to play in 2019-20
Just as the Kings and Nuggets have done with Harry Giles and Michael Porter Jr., respectively, over the past two years, the Magic plan to treat Okeke's rookie campaign as a redshirt year while the big man recovers from the torn ACL he sustained while playing for Auburn in the NCAA tournament. Okeke should be at or near full strength in the spring, but the Magic won't rush him back into action while the team prioritizes his long-term health. Even if he entered training camp 100 percent healthy, Okeke would likely have trouble finding playing time with all of Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon, Mo Bamba, Jonathan Isaac and Al-Farouq Aminu ahead of him in some order on the Magic's frontcourt depth chart.

Jonathan IsaacORL | PF
To miss all of 2020-21 season
Magic president Jeff Weltman confirmed Monday that the team does not anticipate Isaac playing at all next season after the forward suffered another significant knee injury during seeding play. Isaac will, of course, face a lengthy recovery, but the team ruling him out for an entire forthcoming season is a major decision, especially given the uncertainty surrounding the league's future schedule. Through his first three years in the league, Isaac -- one of the league's best defenders, when healthy -- has played 27, 75 and 34 games, respectively.
