Latest News
Updated 05/03/2021
Wright came through with another serviceable performance during the victory. Although perhaps the biggest takeaway here is the injury suffered by Tyrese Haliburton (knee). While there has been no word on the severity, there is certainly a chance Haliburton is shut down for the remainder of the regular season. If that is the case, Wright could find himself in a favorable position down the stretch, and based on past history, he could be a difference-maker across a host of fantasy leagues. Make sure he isn't available in your league.

Hield played a whopping 42 minutes in the win, leading the team in scoring once again. The Kings lost Tyrese Haliburton (knee) to what could potentially be a season-ending injury. Based on their current roster, Hield is basically going to have a green light on the offensive end and he could certainly end the season on a high.

Harkless started his seventh straight contest and finished with his highest point total of the season. In fact, Harkless' 20 points tied for the team lead and exceeded his scoring total over his past three games combined. He has totaled double-digit points only three times over his past 11 games, so Harkless can be avoided in most fantasy leagues.

Latest News
Updated 04/10/2021
McDermott was the first man up in the second unit and went to work right away with a flurry of scoring in the first quarter. He came in for Edmond Sumner, who usurped McDermott's starting role for the evening. Although their minutes were virtually identical, McDermott clearly outplayed the rookie, who seemed a little out of sorts in an unfamiliar frontcourt role. The team was still intent on getting Sumner on the court despite Malcolm Brogdon's return, but his 6-4 frame is better suited as a tool for the backcourt. McDermott's demotion to the bench is likely only a temporary move.

Hassan WhitesideSAC | C
Double-doubles in starting role
Whiteside played well despite the unfavorable matchup and is certainly trending in the right direction in terms of fantasy appeal. He only needs minutes in the low-20s to be considered a must-add player and so as long as Ruchaun Holmes (hamstring) is out, Whiteside shouldn't be on any waiver wires.

Notches career-best scoring effort
James came off the bench in the contest but logged 32 minutes and led all players in scoring. His 31 points nearly doubled his previous career high of 16 points set at the end of April. James' opportunities to contribute have been very limited this season, but he could get some extra run over the team's final two games now that Sacramento is officially eliminated from playoff contention.

Limited to 15 minutes Sunday
Haliburton was a disaster in the victory, dropping arguably his worst game of the season. The impressive rookie has certainly faded of late and despite the fact he is still a must-roster player, GMs should be lowering their expectations moving forward. He will obviously be better than this on most nights and the solid play of both Delon Wright and Terence Davis was a key factor in this one.

Steady again Wednesday
Barnes isn't among the league's flashy stars, but he has proven to be invaluable to the Kings this season due to his professionalism and consistent contributions. The veteran forward has scored at least 20 points in three straight games and is averaging career highs in both boards (6.6) and assists (3.5) per contest on the campaign. His 49.4 percent field-goal rate is also a career best.

Fox hit only eight field goals in the contest, but he was nonetheless able to reach the 30-point mark for the sixth time in his past nine games thanks to a 13-for-14 performance from the charity stripe. The fourth-year point guard is averaging 29.0 points, 7.7 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals over that stretch.

The third-year guard remained in the starting lineup in place of Malcolm Brogdon (hamstring) and notched his fourth game of double-digit scoring in his past five contests.

Drops 30 points in win
Fox hit only eight field goals in the contest, but he was nonetheless able to reach the 30-point mark for the sixth time in his past nine games thanks to a 13-for-14 performance from the charity stripe. The fourth-year point guard is averaging 29.0 points, 7.7 assists, 4.9 rebounds and 2.2 steals over that stretch.

Marvin Bagley IIISAC | PF
Impresses in victory
Bagley moved into the starting lineup against the Mavericks and came through with his best performance in recent memory. After another season cruelled by injury, Bagley has a nice opportunity to string some solid games together to close out the campaign. The Kings are down on troops and might as well let Bagley loose in the hope he can establish a decent floor. With the waiver wire paper-thin right now, Bagley makes sense as a speculative pickup.

Won't return Monday
Holmes left the game late in the first half and didn't return following halftime after coming down with tightness in his hamstring. Damian Jones started the second half of Monday's matchup in place of Holmes. Although his status remains relatively unknown at the moment, Holmes will likely be tabbed questionable heading into Wednesday's game against the Wizards.
