With Chris Bassitt as a legitimate third starter and Edwin Diaz as arguably the game’s best closer, I have high hopes for the Mets on the mound. At the plate, this is also a very complete team, with veterans like Pete Alonso, Francisco Lindor, Starling Marte, Jeff McNeil and others as proven producers. Rather than taking a shot on any American League team or getting shorter odds on the Dodgers, I’d rather take advantage of the Mets' odds here.

The Astros were as close as possible to winning the World Series last season and I think they can get it done this year. They’ve won over 100 games this season and they have what it takes to barrel through the playoffs and win the World Series. Matt Horner: Toronto Blue Jays +2000 at FanDuel

I know, the Blue Jays are incredibly disappointing compared to what we thought they would be this season. They haven’t been able to put it all together, but in the last month or so, they have started to play more as a cohesive unit. This is a team that will still win over 90 games, and they have the talent on the roster to compete with anyone. The Dodgers look like the best bet on paper, but they are a measly +350, so there isn't much value there. With the Blue Jays, you are getting 14/1 odds on a very talented team that has every chance to go off this postseason. I see some value there on Toronto at this number.

Even if the Dodgers and Astros are more logical choices here, there's just not enough value on either to pull off winning the World Series. And while the Yankees have had their ups and downs this season, but their ups can be much higher than any team heading to the postseason right now.
