Houston Astros (-110, 9) vs. Boston Red Sox - 7:10 PM EST

The Astros are sending out Zach Greinke to try and get a sweep of Boston. He has shutdown the Red Sox lineup over his career, limiting several explosive hitters to a .233 batting average of 74 plate appearances.

Greinke and Houston have had Boston’s number this season, taking five of the six meetings by an average of five runs.

It will be on Eduardo Rodriguez to stop the bleeding against this surging Astros lineup. He has struggled in 61 at bats against Houston hitters that have had success against left handed pitching this season. He has allowed Astros batters to hit .352 against him, but this is the norm for a Houston team that is second in the MLB against southpaws this season.

This is a Houston lineup that is disciplined at the dish and always generating run scoring opportunities. They have by far the lowest strikeout rate in the league at 18.1% and have the best wRC+ mark in the bigs.

Boston to their credit does a fine job as well putting the ball in play, hitting .309 as a team when they make contact. Houston's defense is 21st according to FanGraphs, so the Red Sox are going to look to attack their mediocre defense with their elite contact.
