New York Mets (+100, 8) vs. Philadelphia Phillies - 7:10 PM EST

The Mets were able to take both games of their double header with the Phillies on Tuesday, and the BetQL Model is expecting them to make it three in a row on Wednesday.

We have a ⭐⭐⭐⭐ play on New York!

David Peterson takes the bump for the Mets on Wednesday, who was roughed up against the Phils in his opening start of the season. The southpaw allowed four earned runs in the first inning, but settled in allowing two hits and hitting a batter in the following three innings before coming out of the game.

Did Peterson settle in after a shaky first inning? It appears so and bank on him to bounce back a week later with an impressive start.

As for NY’s offense, playing every day will certainly help them develop some consistency at the plate. The Mets had their first series of the year cancelled due to a COIVD-19 pause from the Nationals and then back-to-back rainouts earlier this week.

However, an extra innings rally and a four run seven inning win over the Phillies on Tuesday showed that the bats may be waking up.

The Mets have a dangerous lineup, but have struggled getting into a rhythm early with the constant off days. Typical elite hitters are batting below .200, including Francisco Lindor and Jeff McNeil. More reps at the dish will help even out the slow start.

Count on the Mets to continue some positive momentum and generate runs against former teammate Zack Wheeler and get into a tired Phillies bullpen, who had five relievers pitch on Tuesday.

The BetQL Model makes the Mets -124, so we see quite a bit of value on the home team.

Pick: Mets +100
