Johnny Cueto Will Return To Giants Rotation Tonight

He's been out for over a year recovering from Tommy John surgery

Johnny Cueto last took the mound on July 28th, 2018. After undergoing Tommy John surgery, it appears as though the San Francisco Giants right-hander is ready to return to the rotation down the stretch.

This is a bit of a surprise given the timing of the season and the fact that the Giants are on the far outside looking in (69-75) in terms of a NL Wild Card spot.

Holding a lifetime 125-85 record and 3.33 ERA, Cueto is ready to come back. He will likely be held to a strict pitch count in his return.

San Francisco opened as -130 home favorites against the Pittsburgh Pirates.
