If You Bet On The Red Sox To Make The ALCS, Congratulations

The Red Sox have made it to the ALCS -- and there may be no stopping them

  • The Boston Red Sox and Houston Astros will begin the ALCS on Friday night at 8:07 p.m. EST at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

  • Many didn't believe this Red Sox team would make it to the postseason, let alone the ALCS, but there were still fans, like myself, who refused to count out this team.

  • The Red Sox's odds to win the World Series at BetMGM are +400 and their odds to win the ALCS are +130.

The Boston Red Sox have made it to the ALCS to the surprise of many (but not me) and are getting ready to take on the Houston Astros.

Boston beat the New York Yankees in the wild card game before taking down the top-seeded Tampa Bay Rays in the ALDS.

To those who never counted this team out, I applaud you. We deserve this.

The Red Sox Will Win The World Series

The Red Sox did not come this far just to come this far, as a great man (Tom Brady) once said.

As I first tweeted on April 14th of this year, the Red Sox will win the World Series. They’re only eight wins away now.

This tweet was a bit more scarce this summer, but there was always a feeling that this team would get hot again. And they sure have.

There were times during the season when it was discouraging to watch this team and rough to see people saying this team was done, but I never counted them out for a second. There is something about them that made me think those down times wouldn’t last. Tough times don’t last, tough people do, after all. And this is a team of tough people.

I wasn’t the only one not giving up on this team. There were certainly still fans sticking with them, going to games and keeping the faith, especially right after the trade deadline. The crowd at Fenway Park has been invaluable in keeping this team amped up and that support will only get stronger in this ALCS.

Even when the Red Sox’s odds to win the World Series got up to +2500 and +3000 at BetMGM, I still believed they could go the distance and would figure it out. Watching those odds get longer only meant the days when they got shorter were even sweeter.

Those who kept going with this team know what it means to really believe in something and feel the reward for keeping the faith and pouring your heart and soul into supporting a baseball team.

The Red Sox vs. the Astros

The ALCS begins Friday at 8:07 p.m. EST at Minute Maid Park in Houston.

The Red Sox's odds to win the World Series at BetMGM are now +400 as of Wednesday morning, while the Astros are favored to win it at +200. Boston’s odds to win the ALCS are +130 at BetMGM and I would, of course, say to strongly consider betting on those.

This is a great situation for the Red Sox, because they’ve been thriving as underdogs. They’ve been doing it in these playoffs so far and I have faith they can do it in the rest of this postseason right to the end.
