After stifling the Washington Nationals in Game 1 of the NLDS, the Los Angeles Dodgers will turn to Walker Buehler with their season on the line in Game 5.

After posting a 14-4 record and 3.26 ERA in the regular season, the 25 year old will try to continue his postseason dominance. Clayton Kershaw will likely be available in relief, if needed.
#Dodgers Walker Buehler is the first pitcher in baseball history to strike out at least seven batters in each of his first five career #postseason appearances. Bob Gibson is the only other pitcher to do so in each of his first four playoff games.

Meanwhile, Stephen Strasburg went 18-6 with a 3.32 ERA in the regular season and had a dominant performance in Game 1 of this series as well, going 6.0 innings while allowing there hits and an earned run while striking out 10. Washington will turn to him and hope that he can produce a similar outing.
He has been similarly brilliant in the postseason and quietly has the lowest playoff ERA in history (with a minimum of four starts).
Stephen Strasburg has the lowest ERA (0.64) in #postseason history, besting Sandy Koufax (0.95 ERA). (min. 4 starts) 😱

Like Buehler, when he’s on, his stuff is nearly unhittable.

It should be an incredible matchup with plenty of drama in the win-or-go-home scenario!
