Christian Yelich (Knee) Out For Remainder Of Season

It's a huge blow for him and the Brewers, who are in the NL Wild Card hunt

Due to the unfortunate placement of a foul ball, Milwaukee Brewers star (and NL MVP candidate) Christian Yelich suffered a broken kneecap and will miss the rest of the season.

At 76-68, the Brewers are right on the outside looking in when it comes to the NL Wild Card race, but losing Yelich will undoubtedly hurt their chances.

All in all, it was an unreal year for the reigning NL MVP.

In the short term, it will be interesting to see what Craig Counsell decides to do lineup-wise, but veteran Ryan Braun and rookie Trent Grisham are the logical candidates to start in right field.

The Brewers opened as -150 favorites on the road against the Miami Marlins tonight. Head to the “Games” tab for all the information you need to know about the matchup.
